World of Warcraft (WoW) is a massive muliplayer online role-plaing game (MMORPG) modeled after the Dungeons and Dragons role-playing games of the 1980s and 1990s.  World of Warcraft was released by Blizzard Entertainment in 2004 following the popularity of its Warcraft Fantasy Universe.  World of Warcraft is currently in its 8th expansion, Shadowlands, and has a worldwide player count of over 10 million.

The popularity of the game has created an entire universe of merchandising, including statues and figurines, art, and a series of books.  A movie was even released based on the game in 2016, Warcraft.

As old Dungeons and Dragons players, Starlight Night Curators Thomas and Desiree play World of Warcraft, with Desiree having over 15 years of experience running the same character!  We are continually amazed at the fantastic creativity and story-telling of the franchise and are excited that we can experience it firsthand.  We also collect and curate collectibles from the WoW universe, as listed below.  Even if role-playing games are not your thing, we hope you, like us, can appreciate the skill and dedication of the writers and developers of Blizzard to create such an immersive world that has grown for so long.
